A living room deck off the rear of the house is extended to encircle the whole house. Block retaining walls are added to stabilize hillsides and form garden beds. The structure of the redwood deck with cedar railing and caps (the new wood will gray with time to match the original decking) is duplicated perfectly at the front parking area and on all sides of the home. The added deck areas more than double the family outdoor entertainment space.
